“Having never made anything for years, I was quite nervous when I booked a Candy House Workshop at Amelia’s Chocolate, Scarborough.
“I joined a group of young chocolate lovers for this special one-hour session. Amelia herself showed us how to put the candy house together – good memory required!
“So you start of with all your bits and pieces. You choose your toppings, so I went for marshmallows, orange chocolate shavings and fudge pieces.
“Then you get a piping bag full of white chocolate and have a go at laying the foundations and putting up the walls.
“Then keep adding the walls and the roof, before making it look all lovely …
“Your fabulous choccy creation is then put into the fridge to set.
“And it doesn’t stop there – you get to wrap your masterpiece in lovely cellophane, ribbon and create a bespoke gift card too.
“Considering I am not a crafty person, I loved this session!”
