Barista/Sales assistant – Need to be over 18! Retail or coffee shop experience is preferred. The role will cover both roles.

Weekend assistant – need to be over 16!

Amelia’s Chocolate is expanding and moving into Scarborough Town Centre. Within our expansion we are going to have a chocolate cafe where we will serve all things chocolatey and Coffee’s. We will also have a bigger events room and bigger shop. This means we need more staff to work for us. Events Coordinator

  • To meet with people to discuss bookings
  • To manage events Amelia’s Chocolate are running such as parties and workshops
  • To come up with ideas for new events
  • To promote the events
  • To do all the staff rotas to cover all the events
  • To fill out any application forms for any outside events (markets etc)
  • To make sure all risk assessments are complete for each event.

Candidate will need to:

Chocolate Bar Supervisor

  • To oversee the running of the bar
  • To maintain a clean and tidy working environment
  • To make sure procedures are been followed
  • To serve customers in a professional & friendly manner
  • To clear tables
  • To make customers orders
  • To liaise with the chocolatiers on what chocolate drops and Gelato is needed
  • To order stock and maintain fifo

Candidate will need to:

  • Be friendly
  • Good personal hygiene
  • Food Hygiene certificate preferred but not essential
  • Punctual
  • Have outstanding customer service skills
  • Be able to work under their own Initiative
  • Good Communicator
  • Experience working in a café environment *

Barista, Several vacancies of varying hours 

  • To maintain a clean and tidy working environment
  • To make coffee’s & Food items following the correct procedure
  • To serve customers in a professional & friendly manner
  • To Help out in other areas if necessary.

Sales Assistant

  • To be knowledgeable about Amelia’s Chocolate products

  • To help out in other areas as necessary
  • To take bookings for parties & workshops

Weekend assistant

Party & Events Assistants, Hours are depending on bookings

  • To help run parties and various other events
  • To serve customers in a professional manner.
  • To keep the area clean and tidy.

FAQ’s

  • Which Jobs are appropriate for a 14 year old?  Weekend assistants and the Party & Events assistant as suitable for people still at school.
  • What are the hours? We have several jobs available at varying hours. If you pass the recruitment questionnaire we will discuss hours available and requirements with you.
  • Have you received my application? We will contact every applicant we receive to let them know if they have been successful or not but please bare in mind this will take some time so please give us at least 10 working days.

    Hi. Enquiring on behalf of my daughter about your vacancies. Ellie is school age so I wondered if you have a minimum age you would be looking for in terms of employees? She is trying to raise money to fund a challenge trip to Costa Rica in 2020 so having a job would really help towards this.

      The weekend assistants & Party and event assistants are suitable for school age. The best thing is for Ellie to fill in the questionnaire and email it in.
