As some of you will be aware I got married recently and some have asked to see pictures so I thought I would do a blog on it so you can have a look!
We got married on the 10th June at Scarborough Registry office and went to The Tipis at The Barn on Burniston road afterwards.
When we 1st started to plan our wedding one thing that I quite fancied was a Horse and carriage. After looking for quite some time and asking about we found that the nearest one to us was out near Farndale. We decided to go with them and they were just amazing. It was a great experience and my flower girls absolutely loved it. It did rain on the day but we had the roof on and could still see and wave at people out of the window!
I highly recommend them and you can find out more about them here
As a Guide Leader it was great to also be able to get my Guide group involved, and thanks to one of the guides mums for organising it they did a Guard of Honour for me. It was really lovely and added a personal touch to the day.
Having Hay-fever I knew that real flowers were not an option for me as I didn’t want to spend the day sneezing my head off. I felt I wanted something different and went to Violet Lux to see what ideas she could come up with. Natalie made me these gorgeous felt flowers – I had a big bouquet, my bridesmaid a smaller one and my flower girls even smaller ones. We also got matching head dress’s too. These can be kept for ever and ever and matched our colour scheme perfectly.
The thing that I was worried about from the begining was getting a pair of nice shoes. I don’t do heels being tall as it just makes me even taller and I tower over people enough. So I wanted flats but I just didn’t want normal ballet pump flats, I wanted something that people were going to go wow to and oh my which my shoes certainly did. After a few months of keeping my eye on there website I found some that i feel in love with at Irregular choice but they sold out of my size straight away. I signed up for the email to tell me when they were back in stock and bought them as soon as they were.
I went for the Cinderella Glittering entrance! When I walked or tapped the heels they light up which made everyone so excited about. The whole presentation of the shoes were great too as the box they come in is all decorated with Cinderella on and the soles of the shoe also have a design on. They are well worth the money.
If you want some shoes that are different check out Irregular Choice here
